One to one support – we continue to support pregnant women, families and children on a one to one basis, supporting their health and well-being during these difficult months. The range of support can include welfare advice, advocacy, parenting support, emotional support and cover a range of topics which may be impacting life at home. We are undertaking some of this work face to face with families where we have deemed it safe to do so and in line with public health guidance. We can also offer this support over the phone or via video call.
Group Support – We are offering small group work opportunities for families to help reduce isolation and increase opportunities for social connection, learning and play. All of these groups are taking place outdoors and in very small numbers. Whilst guidance allows it we are delivering a weekly peep group, fitness sessions with Spartans, buggy walking groups and a range of other opportunities such as exploring local green space and visiting community gardens.
Practical support – We still have some resources in place to support families with practical needs such as food, fuel and clothing. We are also starting to make preparations for delivering Halloween packs to families which will provide resources and ideas of fun activities that families can take part in together.
