The Scottish Child Payment will be introduced in early 2021 for low income-families with children under six. This group is being prioritised because evidence shows that almost 60% of children in poverty live in a family with a child of six and under. The payment will be administered by Social Security Scotland through an application-based process and families will be eligible for £10 per week, per eligible child. It’s great to support parents to get their views across on how to make this new payment as effective as possible and the parents really enjoyed meeting Shirley-Anne.
