The Workers built on their knowledge of Baby Brain Development and Attachment Theory and were equipped with the tools to facilitate sessions with parents which focus on enhancing their ability to tune in to their babies’ needs and feelings through activities, discussion, songs and stories. This will support parents to build more secure relationships with their babies and allow the babies a secure and safe base from which to explore the word. We hope to use the resources and knowledge attained at the training to facilitate one to one and group sessions with expectant parents to help them to hold their babies in their minds and explore their expectations of parenthood.
